Sâm trâu( Sâm nam, Cát sâm) - Milletia speciosa

Sâm trâu: còn có tên Sâm nam, Cát sâm; tên khoa học là Milletia speciosa, thuộc họ Đậu – Fabaceae. Dây leo thân gỗ dài 5 – 6 m, có rễ củ nạc. Cành non phủ lông mịn màu trắng, mang lá kép lông chim với 7 – 13 lá chét, lá chét non cũng phủ nhiều lông; hoa trắng hoặc vàng nhạt, tập hợp thành chùm kép ở đầu cành hay nách lá. Cây mọc hoang ở vùng rừng núi, nơi trảng nắng, ven rừng. Thường thấy phổ biến ở các tỉnh miền núi phía Bắc. Rễ củ được dùng làm thuốc bổ, chữa nhức đầu, bí tiểu…
